I do not like rain. It causes inconvenience because I have to carry an umbrella, and my shoes get wet. I wanted to depict rain using PET bottles—common items found around the neighborhood and consumed in our everyday lives. PET bottles are designed to contain liquids, and as they fall from the sky, they spill the liquids they once held.

The figure is holding an umbrella to shield themselves from the falling PET bottles, which symbolizes how we, too, are surrounded by social duties, responsibilities, tasks, and roles that we cannot avoid. I hold the umbrella in an attempt to protect myself. Finding myself in an ambiguous state—neither a young student nor a fully independent adult—I was overwhelmed by the need to find something I could do. The journey ahead felt long. Like a rain shower, worries poured over me, and I have yet to find a definitive solution.

Je n'aime pas la pluie. Cela m'est dérangeant, car je dois toujours emporter mon parapluie et mes chaussures deviennent mouillées. J'ai voulu représenter la pluie à travers des bouteilles en plastique, ces objets que l'on trouve partout et que nous utilisons au quotidien. Ces bouteilles sont faites pour contenir un liquide. Lorsqu'elles tombent du ciel, elles déversent ce qu'elles contenaient.

Le personnage central tente d'éviter les bouteilles en tenant un parapluie. Cela fait écho à notre consommation quotidienne et à nos tentatives d'échapper aux responsabilités sociales, aux tâches, aux rôles, etc. Je porte ce parapluie symbolique pour m'en protéger.

Étant dans un état ambigu — ni étudiante, ni pleinement adulte — l'idée qu'il me faille trouver ma voie dans la vie m'accable. Le chemin à parcourir semble encore trop long. Comme un orage, les inquiétudes s'abattent sur moi, et il me reste encore à en trouver la solution.
