"This piece was inspired to me by the Tower of Babel, as well as childhood memories such as playing with paper cups or building sand castles on the beach.
By using approximately 2,000 paper cups that I painted, like bricks, I had the figure stacking them skyward as if to an unknown height. Through this, I expressed the act of heading toward an endless desire along with the effort it takes to catch a star (achieve a dream).
The glass marbles spread on the floor have multiple meanings such as grains of sand, the danger of the paper cup castle collapsing, and fallen stars."
