For days, my team and I drove in Northern Siberia looking for indigenous tribes in vain. We only found tourists attractions imitating these people in the cities. We then decided to drive deeper into the depth of the Yamal region and eventually met one tribe: the Nenets.
Netets are nomadic Reindeer herders living in the most northern part of what is known as Northern Siberia. They live in tents made out of Reindeer skin. The living conditions are hard and temperatures can drop as low as below 45 degrees Celsius. This little girl is the daughter of the man holding a trap on another of my photographs.
