What are the things that feel incredibly fragile and beautifully overwhelming because they vanish so quickly? This piece evokes memories of melting ice cream and the star-shaped Konpeito candies I adored as a child. Inspired by the moment I dropped an ice cream bar on a hot summer day, it reflects the preciousness of fleeting moments and the longing for life's impermanence—reminding us that what is ephemeral often becomes even more valuable. It also speaks to our desire to hold onto those fleeting instances.

___

How will my story, which began on a blank canvas, ultimately unfold? This is not just my story—it may be the story of us all. This piece captures our memories—the histories and scars we seek to erase, reconstruct, or transform—as well as the future we are still in the process of writing. It also touches on the artist's destiny: the unrelenting drive to create, an endless cycle of creation.

_____
