How much coffee is too much coffee? Judisch creates object-sculptures from cultural objects. With this coffee paper cup bronze sculpture he revisits a disposable object anchored within modern times and American culture. Coffee has been a part of American history, coffee impacts American culture and American culture impacts coffee. The coffee culture that is associated with American coffee is one of speed, convenience, accessibility and also ecology, and for this there is the coffee paper cup for a coffee to go.
Judisch likes to look for void - what does not exist, what needs to exist, what can he do to help fill a void. He sees a public park and he will turn it into a sculpture park, he sees a public area and he will turn it into an art space. For him, there is always an opportunity to change things, to look from new perspectives, to create new perceptions, horizons and meanings. Since 2018, he has produced several public art interventions with his Hot Content sculptures and staged them in five different cities throughout Germany. With this idea to fill a void and to create new meanings and surprising updatings, he encourages collectors to carry his object-sculptures during their everyday journeys - to work, to an outing, to a concert, to a sport game - and to stage them in new environments.
His series of sculptures related to coffee is an on-going project. In 2024, he produced a series of coffee beans in bronze.
