"Taking still-life pictures slows me down it is almost an meditation where I often sit for minutes just looking and wondering what I should change. I am very involved I observe, trying to arranging it, I build connection and I am trying to have as much mystery in the picture as possible.This picture is part of trying to understand the „Russian heart“ and it was taken in our studio in the remote village in Russia. The print is a handmade #platinumprint and handcolored. It’s on almost transparent Hawagashi paper which adds an amazing glow and tonality to the print."
