"By the 8th century BC, Greek pottery had developed narratives of daily life, personal stories, and great deeds. When l found this beautiful print, l thought of the many stories contained in a woman’s life, like the space in these amphorae and jars. Clorinda is the name of a woman who once hid inside a large Chinese vase in order to enter to avoid harassment. This is a story l heard about in Lima and never ceased to amaze me. Here, l channel her, surrounded by a multitude of ceramic jars, as if I were to become one myself." Cecilia Paredes
