In the image, our class focused on a glass dome in an exercise inspired by the Scole Experiment. In that séance, an empty bell jar became the focal point, believed to function as a chamber for “creative energy.” According to the group, this device was designed by spirits of deceased scientists such as Thomas Edison and Sir William Crookes. They described this energy as a combination of forces from the spirit world, human participants, and natural energies on Earth, which could be stored in the dome and used to produce physical phenomena. In 1995, participants reported that a materialized being emerged from within this glass portal.
A related example dates back to 1854 in Massachusetts, when trance medium John Murray Spear claimed that the spirits of figures like Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin guided him in creating the “New Motor.” This device was described as both a perpetual motion machine and a living entity infused with universal life force. In the final stage of the experiment, Spear entered a trance and formed a psychic connection with the machine, while a woman known as the “New Mary” participated in a ritual intended to bring it to life. After hours of labor in this so-called “wombonic” process, she touched the device, and witnesses reported that it trembled like a newborn.
