Austrian psychiatrist Dr Engelbert Winkler was inspired to create a device to mimic the lights he saw during a transformative near-death experience he endured at age seven. With neurologist Dr Dirk Proeckl and engineer Jury Locke, Winkler co-designed the Lucia N°03 hypnagogic light machine device.

Some who have used the Lucia N°03 say the light machine can put you into a state that takes you “out of your body and into another realm.” In the United States in 2015, Paper Magazine ran an article about the lamp titled: “I tested the $50 light treatment that makes you trip balls.”

Lillian Stavang Gaarden, a medium and healer from Norway, is shown here using the Lucia device. Like Engelbert, Lillian also had a transformative near-death experience as a child. At age four, Lillian became so ill she couldn’t move or get out of her bed. She says that, one evening, a spirit person entered her room, came toward her, and sucked the illness out of her body. In that moment, Lillian says she was simultaneously healed and initiated as a healer herself.

Le psychiatre autrichien Dr Engelbert Winkler a été inspiré à créer un dispositif reproduisant les lumières qu’il avait vues lors d’une expérience de mort imminente transformatrice vécue à l’âge de sept ans. Avec le neurologue Dr Dirk Proeckl et l’ingénieur Jury Locke, il a co-conçu la machine à lumière hypnagogique Lucia N°03.

Certaines personnes ayant utilisé la Lucia N°03 affirment que cette machine peut induire un état qui vous « sort du corps pour vous emmener dans un autre monde ». Aux États-Unis, en 2015, Paper Magazine publiait un article sur cette lampe intitulé : « J’ai testé le traitement lumineux à 50 $ qui vous fait complètement planer ».

Lillian Stavang Gaarden, médium et guérisseuse norvégienne, est ici photographiée utilisant le dispositif Lucia. Comme Engelbert, elle a elle aussi vécu une expérience de mort imminente transformatrice durant son enfance. À l’âge de quatre ans, elle tomba si gravement malade qu’elle ne pouvait plus bouger ni quitter son lit. Elle raconte qu’un soir, un esprit entra dans sa chambre, s’approcha d’elle et aspira la maladie hors de son corps. À cet instant, dit-elle, elle fut à la fois guérie et initiée à son rôle de guérisseuse.
