Created on the beach of San José in the Cabo de Gata-Níjar Natural Park in southern Spain, Palm Trees by Astrid Verhoef explores the relationship between nature and human intervention. By combining organic forms with artificial elements, the photograph creates a visual tension in which opposites coexist within the same landscape. These introduced forms can be seen both as disruptive presences and as elements that reshape our perception of the environment.
